ANZEx 07.4049X Certificate Cancellation
Update 24 September 2026
Denchi Group gives notice of its intention to cancel Certificate of Conformity ANZEx 07.4049X, with cancellation to take effect on 31 October 2026.
ANZEx 07.4049X covers the legacy DL16/L16 caplamp product family. The certificate has been voluntarily suspended since 8 March 2024 and manufacture of product under this certification ceased prior to that suspension.
Following consultation with our certification body and Australian distribution partner, Denchi has decided to bring the legacy ANZEx certification to a permanent close.
Effect from 31 October 2026
- Denchi will no longer support or represent any product relying on ANZEx 07.4049X as certified for use in a hazardous or potentially explosive atmosphere.
- Equipment bearing the ANZEx 07.4049X certification marking must be removed from service in hazardous environments.
- Such equipment must not subsequently be returned to hazardous-area service on the basis of ANZEx 07.4049X.
- Where equipment is retained solely for use in a non-hazardous environment, the ANZEx/Ex certification marking associated with ANZEx 07.4049X must be permanently removed or rendered unusable.
- Product bearing this certification must not be supplied, transferred or represented as suitable for hazardous-area use.
The previous advice that affected equipment cannot be repaired or modified so as to restore compliance with ANZEx 07.4049X remains unchanged.
During the notice period
Until 31 October 2026, ANZEx 07.4049X remains subject to its existing suspended status. Any remaining users should use this notice period to complete removal or replacement of affected equipment and should continue to comply with applicable site requirements and directions from their local regulator.
Customers requiring replacement equipment should contact their Oldham/Denchi distributor regarding the AE16 IECEx and ATEX-certified product family.
